Please note: These subsidies are only available to those living and/or working in the Norfolk & Suffolk areas.

1. Sports and Fitness

1a. Memberships

A grant of 10% of membership paid up to a maximum of £30 per membership for the following:

  • Gym
  • Fitness class
  • Bowls club
  • Golf club
  • Squash club
  • Athletics club
  • Swimming club
  • Ramblers/walking group
  • Sports club

Where membership is jointly taken out with another person, the persons will be treated as having equally paid the membership and each such member will be eligible to claim the grant based on their share of the membership. When a membership is paid monthly (e.g. for a gym), the claim should be made by 31 March following the year in which the claim relates.

1b. Entrance fees and expenses

A grant of 10%, paid up to a maximum of £30 will be awarded against entrance fees and expenses for participation in any sporting activity, organised by a CSSC group within the Eastern region. This is with the exception of competitions or activities organised by the Eastern region.

1c. Season tickets

A grant of £10 for season tickets to watch sports activities (e.g. football, cricket, rugby, speedway, horseracing) for the current season.

2. Leisure Memberships

A grant of £10 per membership for the following:

  • Membership of RSPB
  • Norfolk Wildlife Trust
  • Historic House Association
  • Norfolk Museum pass
  • Please note that claims can only be accepted for memberships taken out or renewed in the current year.

3. Theatre

3a. A grant of £8 per membership for Norwich Theatre Royal Friends.

3b. Members can claim a grant of £2 per theatre ticket purchased, per occasion.

Please note that members can claim 3a or 3b, not both.

4. Event organisers

Free Place Policy is subject to prior approval by the Committee. All events must be available for purchase via Nutickets.

For events with more than 10 members attending, subsidies may apply in accordance with the CSSC Subsidy Policy and the event organiser can claim a free place.

For events with less than 10 members attending, subsidies only will apply (if applicable) and no free place.

5. Live events

Live Sporting & Concert Event Tickets will attract a grant of £5 per member per occasion.

6. Local offers

Norfolk Broads boating: £10 per hire up to a maximum of £30 per member per year.

Organised activity courses such as Whitlingham Outdoor Education Centre and Active Norfolk: £5 per member / member’s child per event up to a maximum of £30 per member per year.

School holiday sports camps (e.g. football): £10 per child for any camp or course they attend no matter where it is, up to a maximum of £30 per annum.

Language Courses: £10 per term £30 per academic year.

Making a claim

Please make your claim by completing the online form here. You will need to provide evidence of your purchase, your membership number and your bank details.

Please also note that all claims should be made within three months of the event. Any claims received outside this time frame will not be processed.

Whilst it is our policy to process claims as soon as possible, please remember that Anglia Area Association is run by volunteers and they may have other commitments including work. This may mean that you experience a slight delay in receiving your claim, so your patience is appreciated.
