Newport Christmas Draw and Survey
A belated Happy New Year to you all. I’m hoping that you all had a restful Christmas break even with the lockdown that we in Wales found ourselves in.
In November and early December, we ran our Christmas Prize Draw with those entering answering a few questions about CSSC and their membership. Today I can publish the results of that draw and highlight some of things you said and what we have done to answer them.
In 1st place with a £200 John Lewis Voucher was Mike B. 2nd place was Steve C, who chose a £100 Love2Shop Voucher. Six of you won a £50 voucher and eight of you a voucher for £25. Congratulations all.
There was a total of 106 entries of which 16 of you won a digital voucher of your choice. 14 Government departments, two council offices and some retired members were represented. This is the largest distribution of departments that we have had in a draw so Thank You to all that entered. We have a rich dataset to work with in making your membership work for you.
We asked where you found out about CSSC. You said most of you found out about CSSC from a colleague, friend or family member. Thank you to those that passed on your experiences of CSSC that made others want to join and gain some benefit too.
We asked how you prefer to be contacted. You said Email was the preferred method for communications from us to you so we will continue with this. We would encourage all our members to ensure their details are up to date. You can do this by updating your dashboard on the website.
We asked what you like about the current offer from CSSC. You said were happy with the current offer from CSSC and your local area. Some provided comments about the website so we have passed your comments to Head Office.
We asked you how you would improve CSSC. You said you wanted more competitions and draws so we will look to continue to offer these; Some suggested more trips, recognising that at this current time this is not possible. We have a number of trips planned to Manchester, London and Liverpool with dates are being confirmed.
Did you know that as a current member you could organise a trip on our behalf and go for free? There are some conditions and regulations that we need to adhere to but if this interests you please email Newport Events for more details. Some said they found it difficult to find information of CSSC activity within their departments.
Predominately we advertise via the CSSC Website and App and circulate information via our Newsletter on email. Have you considered becoming a departmental representative for us? We currently have 7 committee members, the majority of whom work for ONS and are heavily involved with dealing with COVID statistics in some form or another. If you would like to be a representative please let me know.
Our AGM will be a virtual meeting on Tuesday March 23 between 16:30 and 18:00. A communication will be sent soon. We will present our 2020 accounts for acceptance and elect Officers of the committee. If you would like the opportunity to shape our local CSSC Area offerings, please put yourself forward.
I wish you all a happy and positive 2021.
