Back to school

09th Sep 2020

September is traditionally the month that all the kids are back in school and working parents can take a well-earned ‘break’ and head back to work for some adult conversation. Of course, for some of our members work happens to be a class room, so September can simply mean, business as usual.

For others, this time of year can often conjure thoughts of relaxing holidays at much cheaper rates, a good book in hand and far fewer children around the pool.

But, whatever your plans are, there can be no doubt that September is the month of change.

The mornings are just a little bit darker, menus seemed to effortlessly switch from salads to hearty veg and the annual discussion of ‘when to turn your heating on’ dominates the breakfast table conversation. Briefly interspersed with “Did you know it’s only 100 days till Christmas?”.

So, if, like us, you’re looking forward to making some changes to your summer routine, why not let CSSC help with some ideas to add some colour to your autumn.

Gardening

Now is when many gardens and allotments are harvested and put to bed. It’s a great time to start planning next year’s crops and covering any patio furniture. Why not discover our gardening pages like our free seed offer or even snap up an out of season bargain at your garden centre or DIY store.

Holidays

For those of us looking for warmer climes or to simply get away for a while, don’t forget to check the most up-to-date travel advice for home and abroad. Enquire with your agent about cancelation policies and of course, check out our holiday and travel insurance partners, plus our Book club for some great reads to take with you.

Exercise

Many of us started new routines over the summer to help stay in shape and stave off boredom. But the colder September starts, and darker evenings can often be our undoing. So, if you’re looking for some motivation or to move your fitness indoors, have a look at our stay active pages for loads of useful advice and savings.

Schooling

It’s not just the kids and teens who are looking to stretch their grey matter. Loads of you have been in touch to say how much you’ve enjoyed the new adult learning products and services we’ve offered. If you’re looking for some inspiration, have a look at how our kids and adult products, classes and courses could help support your family’s development.
