Films and cinemas
Christmas is usually the time when the big studios roll out their mega blockbusters. And if they happen to have a festive theme, then all the better. Think Frozen II, Elf, Star Wars.
Okay, that last one isn’t exactly bursting with baubles, but you get the idea. People use up their remaining time off from work, it’s cold outside, so a warm cinema feels even more inviting and it’s a great time to spend with the family, getting lost in the magic of the movies.
Of course, things are a little different this year. Not only are there still restrictions in place, but the film studios have struggled to make their usual contingent of films this year. There were quite a few in the pipeline that either couldn’t get made or couldn’t be released. The postponement of James Bond’s latest outing was a huge blow.
But don’t be too disappointed. There are still some terrific films to watch over the next few weeks. Some with a Christmassy theme, others not so much. And of course, if you don’t fancy a trip to the pictures, you’ve got more choice than ever before from the comfort of home, some with truly epic deals from CSSC.
