Get Active September

07th Sep 2022

We’ve teamed up with ukactive to celebrate Get Active September, where we provide tools, tips, opportunities and prizes to help CSSC members get more active throughout the Autumn and beyond.

Prize draws and competitions

Keep your eyes peeled for Get Active emails coming your way throughout the month, showcasing free-to-attend events and giving away loads of great prizes. Look out for fitness vouchers just for joining us on social media, free gym day passes and dance classes on National Fitness Day.

National Fitness Day 21 September

National Fitness Day is the largest organised national movement in the UK. There are loads of ways you can get involved and have fun and hopefully begin a new hobby or passion that grows with you.

You can try a new sport or activity, host an event yourself to help encourage others, or simply go for a walk to your local park. However you get involved, it’s really important to mark the occasion with some increase in your physical activity. Whether young, old, experienced, or novice, it could be the first step to trying and finding something new.

Get Active and Stay Active with CSSC

We’ve been helping members enjoy physical activity for over 100 years and it’s more important now than ever before to embrace exercise and the outdoors as a way to stay both mentally and physically fit and healthy.

There are literally hundreds of ways CSSC can help with your fitness. From funding your races, tournaments and training, to providing sports equipment, venues, expertise, nutrition and communities to explore. Whatever sport or activity you’re into, from water sports to team sports, check out our Activity pages for some awesome inspiration.

A community for everyone

Half of playing sport and being active, for many is the camaraderie and friendships that come with it. Team sports can be an excellent source of entertainment and gamesmanship, proving an incredibly healthy outlet for one’s wellbeing. But even if you prefer solo sports or more obscure sports like rock climbing, walking or sailing, the communities based around those sports can be incredibly rewarding, sometimes just as rewarding as taking part in the sport itself.

Which is why, here at CSSC, we are focused on bringing you as many communities as possible. Whether through social media, virtually or in-person. If you can’t find a community to help you take up a sport, why not get in touch with us to start a new one and share your passion with others?

We’re here for you

However you enjoy getting active, remember to activate your CSSC membership for savings, tips and ideas on maximising your autumn adventures.
