Podium has been nominated
Back in November 2021, we relaunched the member magazine Leisure Scene to help celebrate our Centenary. With the help of many contributors from across the country, we reimaged, redesigned and repurposed Leisure Scene into a new member magazine for a new time.
To recognise our proud, sporting heritage we renamed it Podium. Not only did we improve the look, size, feel and length of the magazine, but filled it with fascinating articles on health, wellbeing, sport, engagement and general interest.
Now, less than a year later as we continue to work on our third edition, not only are we the proud publishers of a fantastic new member magazine but our hard work has been rewarded with a nomination from the Memcom awards for The Best Relaunch of a Member Magazine.
Who are memcom?
Memcom or ‘member communications’ is a community that connects senior leaders from membership organisations, trade associations and the wider not-for-profit sector together to collaborate, innovate and impact change in society.
As well as events and networking opportunities, memcom offers a number of specialist services, dedicated to supporting our sector, including recruitment, coaching, consultancy, advertising and assessment.
Good luck in the finals
The award is by no means in the bag. We’re up against some stiff competition in our categories, such as from the Chartered Insurance Institute and the Royal College of Podiatry. You can see the entire list of nominees for each category here.
We’ll find out the results in late September when we’ll give you a full run down of the evening ceremony. However we might do on the day, the night is sure to be a fantastic opportunity to connect with other institutions who share our ethos and values. One such notable inclusion to look out for and cheer on will be the Forces Pension Society, who are also up for an award in the Best Magazine for a professional Association category.
But, as they say, it’s an honour just to be nominated, and we’re quietly excited about the possibility of bringing home our third award for CSSC, following our double victory at the Employee Benefits Awards last year and our nomination for the UK Active Award for Active Wellbeing 2022 this June.
