Wales - Health and Wellbeing Champion

Overview

Become a CSSC volunteer today! CSSC is a volunteer organisation, with each Area being run by a volunteer team comprising of a Volunteer Coordinator, Administrator and Financial Officer; along with other volunteers who perhaps run local events, local sport, help out with marketing or communications i.e. social media and website updates, administrate draws or ticket offers and many more ways they are involved!

The purpose of this volunteer role it to promote the values of CSSC by developing health & wellbeing initiative across departments and Offices across the Wales Region. Exploring opportunities for members to participate in initiatives ranging from healthy eating to physical activities. The long term aim would be to have a team across various sites in Wales.

You will report to the Volunteer Team Leader for Wales – Jon Bunyan and the Regional Volunteer Group who can advise and give guidance and help you liaise with Head Office to put offers online and social media. This is a new role which has not been undertaken before. There is subsequently scope to develop and evolve this role with the support and guidance of the regional members and volunteers. There is opportunity for the volunteer(s) in this role to take advantage of and signpost members and volunteers to the various CSSC health & wellbeing offers to ensure that we are maximising the chance to keep our members fit, active and healthy.

The amount of time needed is variable depending on how much activity you generate but at least 1-2 hours per week would be reasonable.
